Hello from Ealing Dental Specialists,
We hope you are keeping safe and well in these strange times. We understand it’s a difficult time for everybody, especially if you have any worries about your braces. To help, we thought we’d update you as to what we’re doing here at Ealing Dental Specialists and share some professional tips to keep yours and your family’s oral health in the best condition. .
We have introduced spaced out appointments and have minimised procedures that pose a greater risk. We continue to provide a very effective level of PPE to all patients so that transmission risk is really very low. We will also be screening as thoroughly as before to make the Practice environment as safe as possible.
If you have an emergency please call the practice during the times: Monday to Thursday 8.00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm and Saturdays from 9am – 3pm, where one of our helpful receptionists will book an appointment in for you. Out of these hours, please a message or drop us an email and someone will return your call, the next morning.
Please contact us by phone on 02085674483 or via email or our website.
1. Brace: If your bracket/ brace/ wire is loose – please use wax where you can and call the practice for more information and an appointment can be booked in for you
2. Retainers: If your retainers are broken, please contact us as soon as possible as we may be able to get these made and sent directly to you in the post or book you in an appointment.
3. Elastics: We would advise you to continue wearing these until run out, and we could send some over to you via post, or you could come to the practice to collect some.
4. Not sure? If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact the practice and we can talk you through any concerns.
Your care and comfort is our priority and we will provide as much guidance and support as possible. Urgent Dental Care Centres, which have been set up across London to assist patients who are in desperate need of emergency treatment can be avoided, as we are up and running and able to treat you and any emergencies.
If you have an appointment scheduled for a date in the future, you should still attend unless informed otherwise. We are still open and running so these appointments will not be rescheduled.
If you are looking to make a new appointment for example, a new consultation appointment, please contact us directly (phone/ email/ website) and we can get this arranged and booked in the diary for as soon as possible.
In the coming weeks, through a series of articles, we hope to keep you informed and provide our patients, their families and community with helpful advice and tips that we feel might be of use during this difficult time. Our principal, Dr. Roopa Kukadia receives regular updates from the Chief Dental Officer, Local Dental Committee and other regulatory bodies and we plan to keep you informed of any changes through a series of newsletters, so please keep an eye out for all the up-to-date information regarding your orthodontic treatment and care.
For further updates see our website:
We wish you all well and look forward to seeing you soon.

Great news! NHS England and the Government have advised us that we are able to commence opening from 8th June.
However, we can only do this if we have access to the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) and have the right operating procedures in place to minimise risk to both patients and staff.
We have been advised to carry out URGENT treatment only, so if you have a routine appointment, removal of metal fixed braces or treatment that requires any use of a drill, we will not be able to see you yet. However, please do not worry, we have a record of each and every patient and appointment that was cancelled and as soon as we have the green light from NHS England, we will start to schedule you in.
Your safety is our primary concern – we are working extremely hard to secure the proper PPE and get all the safeguarding measures in place to make the return to work safe and compliant.
This means that we will have to schedule patients in according to availability of PPE, their health and treatment status. This again will be done to manage any potential risk and minimise spread of the virus.
Please bear in mind, the appointment system will be different. We won’t be able to see as many patients as we would like (to allow sufficient time for infection control procedures and distancing between patients) and you might need to make some adjustments about when and how you attend the surgery. We will update you once we have all this information.
With that in mind we are planning towards opening at the earliest possible time, but we do not currently have a date. We want to emphasise that we will only open when we have all the correct safety systems in place. Please bear with us if due to PPE backlog or other issues we need some more time before we can re-open fully.
We would like to reassure our patients and say that all appointments will be rescheduled and that a member of our team will contact you directly over the telephone to arrange this.
If you have any questions please email us or contact us via our website as this will help our staff to deal with emergency patients on the phone.
Rest assured, we are still on hand to deal with any emergency problems – please do not hesitate to contact us via phone, email or website if you need any further information or if you are having a problem with your brace or retainers.
Opening Times:
Monday – Thursday: 8am – 8pm
Friday: 8am – 5:30pm
Saturday: 9am – 3pm
Sunday – telephone triage only
We look forward to welcoming you back and continuing your path towards a beautiful smile with beautiful memories!
